Head of Latin America Business Development

 

Our Latin America Business Development Head, Daniel, started his career in the U.S. in 1998 at Republic National Bank of New York (now HSBC), where he joined the Management Training Program of the bank; he then stayed with HSBC Republic and was an early member in forming and leading the Investment Advisory Group for the International Private Bank.

In 2003, Daniel joined UBS International in NY as a team member of four Financial Advisors, where he helped build and manage clients’ portfolios for HNW and UHNW clients from Latin America.  In 2006, he joined management and took the responsibility of Sales Manager for UBS International in Coral Gables, a branch with over 60 Financial Advisors covering Central and Latin America.

Daniel is a member of the investment and trading desk at SPNY Capital LP, a Private Investment Fund and a Family Office.

Daniel holds a degree in Business Administration (‘94) with a major in Management from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela; and an MBA  (‘97) from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.

As part of his extracurricular activities, Daniel has been a member of Hatzolah, a volunteer Emergency Medical Service (EMS) organization in New York City for over 16 years.
