On December 6th 2016, U.S. Congress passed the Continuing Resolution (CR) legislation. As far as the EB-5 portion of the resolution is concerned, the $ 500,000 for TEA will be extended until April 28th,2017. Notwithstanding the danger of retroactive increase, we believe those investors who are seriously considering to participate in the EB-5 program in the near future, should act soon before the potential revision and increase of the required investment amount.
On December 23rd some of the EB-5 related government fees will also be increased:
Fee as of December 23, 2016
- I-526 application $3,675
- I-485 to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status $1,140
- I-829 to Remove Conditions $3,750
- USCIS Immigrant Fee $220
