H-1B quota has been met! Again!
Did you know?
On April 7, 2017, USCIS announced that the H-1B quota for fiscal year 2018 has been met for both the regular and Master’s caps. The National Law Review reported that:
USCIS will continue accepting H-1B petitions that are not subject to the cap for the following purposes only:
- To extend the allotted period of time current H-1B holders can stay in the United States.
- To change the terms of employment for current H-1B workers;
- To permit current H-1B workers to change employers;
- To allow current H-1B workers to work simultaneously in another H-1B position.
If you are looking to obtain a green card in the most painless way, you might want to seriously consider the EB-5 route.
